Dr. Benjamin Baranes
Dr. Benjamin Baranes was born and raised in Paris, France. Growing up, he knew he wanted to change lives through the power of a smile after seeing a wonderful dentist take care of his brother with autism. Pursuing his dreams, he moved to the United States at the age of 18 and attended UC Santa Barbara. Just after earning his undergraduate degree, he headed to the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where he was vice president of the Special Care Dentistry Association and went on to become a Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Flash forward, and Dr. Baranes couldn’t feel happier to provide the Denver community with ethical, patient-focused care here at Denver Dream Dentistry. As an Implant Pathway Fellow, Dr. Baranes absolutely loves being able to restore a person’s smile and renew their sense of confidence with beautiful, long-term results.
While Dr. Baranes is passionate about his craft, he brings that same enthusiasm and attention to detail to his patient interactions. It’s not uncommon to find Dr. Baranes making his patients laugh, as he loves helping each person at his office feel at ease. With his commitment to honest, compassionate dentistry, he’s here to be a true partner throughout every step of your smile journey.
When he’s not at the office, you can find Dr. Baranes spending time with his supportive wife and two awesome kiddos. Alongside being a big family guy, he’s also a major sports fan and food lover. Ask him about his favorite spots to eat here in Denver!
Dr. James Downs
Dr. James Downs went into the field of dentistry with the mission of healing his own smile. At the age of 16, he was kneed in the jaw during a soccer game. The hit left him unconscious on the field with two fractures on his jaw and two missing teeth. This painful injury slowly began to hinder his overall health and quality of life, leading him to countless dental continuing education programs to find the best way to restore his bite.
Today, Dr. James Downs is recognized as a key opinion leader and expert in comprehensive restorative dentistry. He received his degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and has been changing lives through strong, glowing smiles ever since. In addition to caring for patients here in Denver, Dr. Downs lectures throughout the United States and Europe for the Dr. Dick Barnes Group, one of the top continuing education programs in dentistry.
Dr. Downs’ personal experience as a patient allows him to provide the most compassionate, encouraging care for the people who walk through his doors. He takes the time to step into each person’s shoes, relate to their challenges, and champion their dental goals with effective, customized solutions.
In his spare time, Dr. Downs loves traveling to scenic destinations in his RV, fishing, golfing, and making memories with his incredible kids.
